Nice Hadith Exchanging gifts, a means of love:
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
تَهَادَوا تَهَابُّوا
"Give gifts to one another! That will make you love one another."
It contains the command and emphasis on giving gifts and donations to each other. Its benefit is that it removes grudges and hatred from the hearts and creates feelings of respect and love.
A gift does not have to be expensive, but can be according to one's ability. If Allah Almighty has made you a person of status, then give the best gift. And if you do not have much power, then even the smallest thing can be given as a gift.
If someone gives a small gift, the giver should not be considered inferior, nor should the thing given in the gift be considered inferior. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
Do not despise a neighbor for his neighbor, even if the horse of a she-camel is torn.
A neighbor should not despise a gift given to his neighbor, even if (it is sent by him)

In our society, even a small gift and the person giving the gift are considered to be inferior, so the poor and lower-status people avoid giving gifts to each other. And thus a large majority of Muslims are deprived of following this Prophetic command, so it is important that Muslims reform themselves and do not consider the gift of any friend, relative or neighbor to be inferior, nor do they consider the person giving the gift to be inferior on the basis of it.
In our society, it is customary to give gifts to each other on the occasion of marriage or other celebrations. This is a good custom based on the spirit of mutual cooperation. But the problem with this is that the giver gives it as a loan and the receiver also considers it as a loan, so in each other's weddings and other celebrations, these gifts and presents are exchanged from this perspective and the value of the previous gift is kept in mind in the exchange.
It is true that if someone gave a gift to the Prophet (peace be upon him), then someone other than him would offer him a better gift in return, and your team has also advised his ummah to adopt this good example. But this does not mean that a person does not have the ability to give a gift of the same value as a gift of the same value that a loved one or friend has given him before, so he should take on the burden of the debt and give him a gift of the same value, especially when the burden of the debt is unbearable for him. Similarly, it is not proper for a person who is of status and can give a large gift as a contribution, but he refrains from giving more in view of the previous gift, especially when the other person is more deserving and in need of it.
Jami’ al-Tirmidhi, al-Walaa’ wa al-Hiya, chapter on the Prophet’s encouragement of giving, hadith: 2130Therefore, the spirit of brotherhood and raw compassion requires that the spirit of cooperation should prevail in the exchange of gifts on wedding occasions, that is, gifts should not be given in preference to previous gifts, but should be given according to one's own status and the needs of the other. In this case, the exchange of gifts and gifts on occasions will move beyond the category of debt and transform into an excellent form of mutual cooperation and will be considered a very good manifestation of Islamic teachings.
